Dispolens
What is a dispolens? It involves taking apart a Kodak point and shoot camera which was popular in the 80s and 90s and taking the little lens out. You then need to mount it onto a body cap for your new modern camera, which leaves you with a 28mm full frame pancake lens.
It gives the same sort of look that you’d get from a disposable camera but as it is on a mirrorless camera, you have all the benefits of it being digital and convenient.
I took my Sony A7iii to London recently and this was the only lens I took, it weighs almost nothing and I felt my approach to photography was changed somewhat. I didn’t care if the image was bad and people around me didn’t even notice I was taking pictures as compared to my huge Viltrox 85mm portrait lens, the dispolens was easily hidden.
Now yes it is optically very flawed and I very much doubt I would be taking this along to any serious photography work but this lens is for me and it is very, very fun.
